TIGP Office would like to invite you to join the TIGP Museum Tour!
The museum is located in Academia Sinica. We welcome you to join us for this 2-hour event!
The Museum of the Institute of Ethnology offers an interactive tour through its new permanent exhibition and special exhibition. One of the special exhibitions is to look at Taiwanese tea and its cultural specificities through exploring aspects such as the production, the history, and taste. The audience will be invited to try out the sniffing cup, as well as an opportunity to set out their own tea ceremony and practice the art of tea pouring.
The permanent exhibition, Taiwan's Austronesian Cultures, houses two National Treasures that were some of the first indigenous artifacts to obtain the status. The exhibition has recently been partially renewed with fresh narratives from five curators, each discussing a contemporary topic on indigenous lives in Taiwan.
