TIGP Student Dormitory (more photos)

|
|
The TIGP student dormitory, completed in the fall of 2005, was donated by local industries and is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk (within 200m) from the campus main gate and nearby bus stops. This modern building houses approximately 130 single study bed rooms, all with en suite facilities. The building is secured 24 hours/day by on-site guards and surveillance cameras, and has central air conditioning.
Each study bedroom is furnished with a single bed, desk and chair, bookshelf, wardrobe, telephone and internet connection as well as its own bathroom. TIGP regrets that this dormitory cannot accommodate students living with family.

Off-campus housing
A limited number of off-campus housing alternatives may be available in the neighborhoods around Academia Sinica or elsewhere in Taipei City. These range from single rooms within a shared apartment to two-person or family-sized en suite apartments. Depending on the facilities provided, tenants can expect to pay between NTD5,000 and 15,000 per month, with a security deposit of one to two months' rent usually required.
Off-campus private housing is generally more expensive than living in the student dormitory, and options are limited in the areas close to campus. Students who wish to live in private housing are therefore advised to arrive a few weeks early in order to have sufficient time for the housing search.
